Yankees pitcher Javier Vazquez says he may have three years left to play, and the 33-year-old is “definitely not going to play until 40.”

MLB.com reports that Vazquez told a Puerto Rican newspaper, “”I don’t have much playing time left,. It is up to God. I go year by year, and I don’t know if it will be one, two or three years, but I’m definitely not going to play until 40.”

Speaking to La Perla del Sur, Vazquez, who is signed through this season, says he needs to throw his curveball more than he did with the Braves, from whom he was acquired in a trade for outfielder Melky Cabrera, left-handed reliever Mike Dunn and right-hander Arodys Vizcaino.
