Jose Reyes has returned to New York to have his ailing right leg seen by a specialist. His return this season is looking doubtful.

Reyes has been on the disabled list since May 21 with a mysterious calf injury that was later diagnosed as a slightly torn hamstring tendon.

Reyes had been rehabbing the hamstring in Port St. Lucie and appeared to be making progress toward a comeback this month, but continued discomfort in the leg prevented him from running the bases at full speed.
