SAN FRANCISCO — Jose Reyes’ second half isn’t exactly off to a bang.
The Mets shortstop was scratched from tonight’s lineup against the Giants as he continues to deal with soreness in his right oblique area. Reyes was scheduled to bat leadoff, but manager Jerry Manuel made the change during early batting practice at AT&T Park.
The Mets had hoped three days of rest would get Reyes rolling again. He has been dealing with the injury for three weeks.
