Jose Reyes just took a wicked shot to his head at second base in the third inning of tonight’s game with the Phillies but stayed in the game after a lengthy pause. Reyes’ head collided with the knee of the Phillies’ Chase Utley on a steal attempt and appeared at first to have suffered a concussion.

But after a quick exam by the Mets’ trainer and some jogging behind second base, Reyes remained in the game and scored to the give the Mets a 2-0 lead just moments later when Jayson Werth misplayed David Wright’s shot to center into a triple.

By the way, Philadelphia’s oh-so-classy fans cheered almost every moment of Reyes’ injury. Just plain disgusting …
