As if enough wasn’t already going on with the injury-ravaged Mets today, the team said Jose Reyes was involved in a non-injury car accident on the RFK Bridge (formerly the Triboro). Reyes, who is on the disabled list with a hamstring injury, was headed to the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan this morning with Mets trainer Ray Ramirez when their car was hit from behind by a fire truck.

A team spokesman said no one was hurt in the accident, and Reyes and Ramirez later continued on to his regularly scheduled medical visit.
