TAMPA — Mariano Rivera says he will make his exhibition game debut for the Yankees this weekend.

“I am going Sunday,” Rivera said Thursday morning at George M. Steinbrenner Field.

After throwing batting practice Wednesday for the first time this spring training, Rivera was hopeful his debut would come Sunday against the Twins at home. Later in the day, Joe Girardi said it could be Sunday but “Baltimore (Wednesday) might make a little more sense.”
