Wednesday’s World Series forecast called for voice cracks and a shower of boos.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred endured both on Wednesday night as he joined the Texas Rangers on the field to commemorate their World Series win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

During the presentation of the Commissioner’s Trophy, Manfred — who infamously called the award a “piece of metal” in 2020 — was booed by the Arizona crowd as his voice cracked throughout the speech.

“63 years is a long time to wait,” Manfred said of the Rangers, who topped the Diamondbacks 5-0 in Game 5, to earn the first World Series in franchise history.

The boos continued as Manfred spoke, with some on social media mocking the whole ordeal.

“Is this bro 13,” one X user tweeted while another posted, “Puberty sucks.”

Despite the curious case of Manfred’s voice, the Rangers savored every moment of celebrating their first championship title in franchise history.

“It’s just awesome,” said Texas shortstop Corey Seager, who was named World Series MVP.

“This is the vision, right? So kind of a loss for words. But it’s a really special moment.”

It was a special moment for Rangers manager Bruce Bochy, who became the sixth manager to win at least four World Series titles.

He previously won three championships with the San Francisco Giants.

“I’m so honored by these guys. They inspire me with how resilient they’ve been, but to get this call and be part of this, I know how blessed I am. I can’t thank these guys enough,” Bochy said.

A parade to celebrate the Rangers’ World Series win is set for Friday in Arlington.
