In addition to Yankee reliever Brian Bruney, pitching prospect Humberto Sanchez is beginning his own rehabilitation process with the Gulf Coast League Yankees. After allowing a run in his first appearance, Sanchez has since made four scoreless appearances. Throwing an inning each time, Sanchez, gave up two hits, striking out five and walking two.
The 25-year-old, who is coming back from Tommy John surgery, was the centerpiece of the Gary Sheffield trade with the Tigers in December 2006.
