Duaner Sanchez is on track to rejoin the Mets’ bullpen in the next few days after finally pitching in back-to-back games. Sanchez, who has not thrown in a regular-season major league game since July of 2006 because of two surgeries on his right shoulder, pitched an inning of scoreless relief without incident for Triple-A New Orleans in Round Rock, Texas, on Saturday. That was after Sanchez also threw an injury-free inning Friday night for the Zephyrs.

Because of that, Willie Randolph said Sanchez could be back in a Mets uniform as soon as the middle of the upcoming week.
