Johan Santana was named the National League’s Pitcher of the Month for September after compiling a 4-0 record and 1.83 ERA, including a three-hit complete game shutout of the Marlins last Saturday in his final start. Santana (pictured) won’t win the Cy Young award thanks to the Mets’ awful bullpen, but you had to be awed by his 2.09 ERA in his last 17 starts. Also, Santana did not lose after June 28.
