ATLANTA — Willie Randolph changed his mind again, giving Johan Santana an extra day of rest next week in the process. Randolph said before today’s game here that Santana will now pitch next Saturday at home against the Brewers.

Randolph had announced after Friday’s rainout that Santana would throw Friday versus the Brewers. But after thinking about it, he gave the Mets’ ace another day of rest after his scheduled start here Sunday against the Braves.

Randolph said Brooklyn-born Nelson Figueroa, who is on the roster because of Pedro Martinez’s hamstring injury, is now likely to start Friday versus the Brewers.
