Brian Schneider is back in the Mets’ lineup today for the first time in nearly two weeks. The veteran catcher, sidelined since April 24 with a staph infection in his left thumb that required hospitalization, had been projected to return Monday in Los Angeles but woke up today feeling good and ready to go.
