A bit of housekeeping: The Mets named Marty Scott manager of their Triple-A affiliate in New Orleans after Ken Oberkfell was elevated to the big-league staff. Also, Mets minor-league pitching coordinator Rick Waits has been been named the Zephyrs’ pitching coach after Dan Warthen was brought up today to replace Rick Peterson. Scott had worked in the Texas Rangers’ player personnel department in a variety of roles before serving as a baseball recruiter for a Texas sports agent the past four years.
