Despite the horrendous umpiring throughout the postseason, commissioner Bud Selig said last night the playoffs have not been diminished, and he isn’t in favor of instant replay to overturn calls.

“I think my position has been clear. This is a game of pace,” Selig said a couple more bad calls in last night’s Game 2 of the World Series. “We’ve worried a lot about that. I’ve spent a lot of time talking to people about it.

“But I think there are other ways we can make corrections. But during the offseason, we’ll review everything and when we have some time we’ll talk about [it].”
