Sonny Gray will make his next start Friday in Toronto after his previous outing ended in disaster, with him being booed off the mound last Saturday in The Bronx.

“I don’t think anything will linger from that start,’’ the right-hander said before the Yankees beat the Braves, 6-2, at the Stadium on Wednesday.

Gray said he has been working with pitching coach Larry Rothschild and is confident he will be able to make the adjustments necessary to bounce back after allowing six runs in just 2 ¹/₃ innings to the Red Sox.

“I’m trying to right the ship,’’ Gray said.

Perhaps an outing on the road will help. Gray has an 8.25 ERA in eight home starts this season, compared to 3.28 away from The Bronx. He also has a 1.88 ERA in seven games at Rogers Centre.

“It was definitely a struggle,” Gray said of his previous outing. “But I don’t let one start affect how I think of myself and the work I was doing. I try and find the positives, look at some negatives, talk through it and move on.”

Masahiro Tanaka pitched five innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, allowing two runs and throwing 69 pitches.

The right-hander, who has been on the disabled list since June 9 with strained hamstrings, is on target to return to the rotation next week in Baltimore.
