ATLANTA — Reliever Matt Wise will be unavailable for the next couple of days because of soreness in his right arm. Willie Randolph said Wise started feeling the problem last Tuesday night, just before he entered a 4-4 game in the 10th inning in Miami against the Marlins.

The soreness could have contributed to Wise surrendering the game-winning home run that night to the Marlins’ light-hitting Robert Andino.

Wise had an MRI exam done on his arm the next day, and Randolph said it was negative. The Mets are going to rest Wise in hopes that it gets better.
