A few days of rest apparently did wonders for Luis Castillo, considering he surprised the Mets this morning by putting himself in the lineup for today’s series finale with the Nationals. Castillo had been sidelined all week with a strained left quadriceps. Willie Randolph, however, said the Mets want to see how Castillo responds. A DL trip is still a possibility.
