Curtis Granderson will take a seat as Ichiro Suzuki steps into center field.

The Yankees’ newest outfielder will play in center for the first time as a Bomber when the team takes on the Blue Jays on Friday night at Rogers Centre. He’s 8-of-19 against Toronto starter Ricky Romero for his career, while Granderson is just 4-of-19.

The only hitter in the Yankees lineup better against Romero might be Jayson Nix, who gets the start at third base. Mark Teixeira will be designated hitter with Casey McGehee over at first.
