Mark Teixeira isn’t in the Yankees starting lineup Friday in the series opener against the Reds in The Bronx after suffering another coughing fit in Toronto on Thursday.

The first baseman has been unable to shake the inflamed bronchial airways that have bothered him much of the season. Nick Swisher will move from right field to first base, with Raul Ibanez in right and Eric Chavez at DH.

Russell Martin also gets the night off and Chris Stewart will catch Andy Pettitte’s second start for the Yankees. Dewayne Wise is in left field.
