In what could be the 2024 Citi Field finale during a chilly autumn, the Mets will have sunshine.
The Temptations will perform “My Girl,” the beloved tune and Francisco Lindor’s walkout song, before Game 5 of the NLCS in Queens immediately after the group sings the national anthem.
Lindor switched to the soulful tune early this season and on a few occasions has used a timeout prior to his at-bat beginning, thus allowing the crowd to continue to sing along.

Friday’s game is the last guaranteed one at Citi Field, with the Mets hoping to win the series in Los Angeles and host World Series games.
