TAMPA — Aaron Judge was on top of Aaron Boone’s lineup card for Friday’s game against Red Sox lefty Brian Johnson, but don’t start thinking the slugging right fielder will be batting leadoff when the games count.

Thanks to the exacta of on-base percentage (.422) and power (52 homers), Judge will hit second behind Brett Gardner in most games. And on the days that Boone gives Gardner a day off, look for the switch-hitting Aaron Hicks batting first.

“We talked about it a couple of times and I woke up and am hitting leadoff,’’ said Judge, who at 6 feet 7, 282 pounds doesn’t fit the mold for the prototypical leadoff hitter. “It’s something we could do during the season. It’s spring training, so we will see how it goes.’’

Judge couldn’t recall if he actually ever hit leadoff.

“I might have done it in high school once,’’ Judge said.

Based on what Boone said Thursday, Judge shouldn’t expect to hit leadoff.

“I have thought about it, but I wouldn’t expect that,’’ Boone said. “I would never say it’s out of the question, but I have no plans of leading him off.’’

Gardner was set to hit ninth against Johnson.
