The Mets are less than thrilled with the fact they have a night game in Miami preceding their day home opener on Thursday.

The Marlins are starting Wednesday’s game at 6 p.m., but the expectation is the Mets won’t get home until after midnight and then have to be at Citi Field around 9 a.m. Noah Syndergaard, who is scheduled to pitch Thursday, indicated he will fly ahead the previous day, but he’s concerned because he and his roommate Robert Gsellman don’t yet have the keys to their apartment and Syndergaard, a night before he pitches, “sure as hell” isn’t getting up at 3 a.m. to let in Gsellman.

Syndergaard was unhappy at the end of spring training that the Mets had a workout in Syracuse on Tuesday, preventing them from returning to NYC to settle personal matters such as getting keys to apartments.
