The Mets just announced that Pedro Martinez left today’s game as a precautionary measure after experiencing tightness in his right (pitching) shoulder. 7:25 P.M. UPDATE: Both Martinez and Jerry Manuel insisted after the Mets’ 3-0 win that the problem is minor and that Martinez will not miss any starts. They also said the issue stemmed from a sore right groin that caused Martinez to adjust his throwing motion.
