A former Mets infielder has joined the field of known candidates for the team’s managerial opening.

Tim Bogar, who played for the Mets from 1993-96, will receive a sit-down interview with general manager Brodie Van Wagenen and his staff, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed Friday, a seventh known candidate to replace Mickey Callaway.

Bogar, the Nationals first base coach, has a working relationship with assistant GM Allard Baird from their time together in Boston. The 52-year-old Bogar spent 22 games as interim manager for the Rangers in 2014 following Ron Washington’s resignation. Bogar was Boston’s bench coach in 2012 and had a contentious relationship with manager Bobby Valentine, who was fired after one season.

Joe Girardi, Carlos Beltran, Luis Rojas, Mike Bell, Derek Shelton and Eduardo Perez are the other known candidates for the Mets vacancy. Girardi is a finalist for the Phillies job and has also interviewed with the Cubs.
