John Ricco said the Mets have no plans yet to bring up Tim Tebow yet, and aren’t considering sending him to Triple-A.

“The thing with him all along was going to be Father Time, and whether he has a long enough window in order to make this happen, but he’s trending in the right direction,” Ricco said before the Mets’ 5-1 victory over the Rays Friday night at Citi Field. “Every month it seems he gets better and better, and I know he made the All-Star team, and I know that that’s exciting. At Double-A, he’s more than holding his own.

“I think it’s a great story … and we’ll see where it goes.”

Since being called up to Triple-A, second baseman Jeff McNeil has hit .410 in 19 games. The 26-year-old was taken in the 12th round of the 2013 draft.

“He’s certainly opening some eyes,” Ricco said. “He’s getting our attention. … I would be surprised if we don’t see him here at some point.”

Asdrubal Cabrera went 1-for-4 with an RBI, and is batting .348 over his past 16 games.

The Mets recalled Paul Sewald from Triple-A, and placed Jerry Blevins, whose grandmother died, on the bereavement list.
