TRENTON – Thanks to a terrible defensive play by Portland 2B Iggy Suarez, Trenton has jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one inning.

After Reggie Corona singled to lead off the inning, he found himself on second base with two outs when 1B Chris Malec hit what looked to be a routine grounder to Suarez at second. However, he first bobbled the ball, and then threw it away after unnecessarily rushing the throw to first. The ball escaped from Portland 1B Aaron Bates, and Corona came all the way around from second to score.
