TRENTON – Thanks to yet another brilliant pitching performance from their entire staff, the Trenton Thunder took the first game of the best-of-five series, beating the Portland Sea Dogs by a score of 2-1.

Starter Eric Hacker went 5.2 innings to get the win, while Michael Dunn and Jhonny Nunez combined to hurl 3.1 no-hit innings out of the bullpen to preserve the win.

Winning tonight was all the more important with Portland throwing phenom Clay Buchholz in Game Two tomorrow night. Trenton will send top prospect Jeffrey Marquez to the mound.
