It may not have been pretty, but the Binghamton Mets managed to put two runs across in the top of the ninth inning last night to beat the Connecticut Defenders, 4-2, in Norwich.
Binghamton shortstop Jose Coronado scored after an errant throw by Connecticut shortstop Brandon Crawford, and Binghamton catcher Josh Thole scored on a sac fly from shortstop Ruben Tejada before third baseman Shawn Bowman was gunned down trying to advance, as well.
Got all that?
The game ended with a bit of a bizarre twist, as well.
