Gerrit Cole is living the dream.

The 30-year-old Yankees’ pitcher made the trip to the “Field of Dreams” movie site in Dyersville, Iowa ahead of the Bombers’ game against the White Sox. The game will be played at a field MLB constructed adjacent to where the film was shot.

Cole, who has missed time after contracting COVID-19, won’t be starting Thursday night, as Andrew Heaney will be on the mound. He did, however, take a walk with teammates, through the cornfield surrounding the ballpark — as the players did in the legendary film — as he soaked in the moment before the Yankees’ big game.
