Say what you will about Matt Harvey — and many labels have been applied: Cy Young candidate, flame-thrower, team leader, prima donna, would-be fashion plate, ladies’ man — but the Mets ace is an unabashed New York City acolyte, a lover of these busy streets and their aesthetic, culinary and retail delights.

Here are four of Harvey’s favorite Gotham locales, from mini-scenes in a New York magazine profile reported last month, before the 25-year-old East Village resident decamped for spring training and the final stages of his Tommy John surgery rehab.

Whittemore House hair salon: Harvey received a “vigorous shampooing” at the subterranean West Village primping spot. “He’s got great hair,” related celebrity stylist Larry Raspanti.

People-watching in the Meatpacking District: “Look at the coach on that guy!” Harvey yells from his cab at a man in a full-length white fur.

Lure Fishbar: The 215-pounder has his order at the Soho seafood restaurant ready to go: “Six Bluepoints and six East Beach Blondes. And I’ll do two pieces of salmon sashimi, two pieces of toro, two pieces of the mackerel, and can I do yellowtail with jalapeño just on the rice? Nigiri style. Four of those, please.”

John Varvatos: In one of Harvey’s favorite clothing stores, he “strokes a leather jacket, ogles a medium-gray windowpane suit” — but keeps the credit card holstered.
