Adam Warren has had nothing but success since he was selected in the fourth round of last year’s First-Year Player Draft.

The former North Carolina right-hander, who was drafted after his senior year, went 4-2 with a 1.42 ERA with the Staten Island Yankees last year, striking out 50 and walking 10 in 56.2 innings. He’s continued that level of success this year with High-A Tampa, going 7-5 with a 2.22 ERA in 81 innings, striking out 67 and walking 17 in 15 starts, including a complete game shutout.

Now Warren is the latest Yankees prospect this season – following fellow right-handers Hector Noesi and Andrew Brackman – to take the long, lonely trip up I-95 from Tampa to Trenton to join the Double-A Thunder’s starting rotation. The 22-year-old, who entered the season as the 26th ranked prospect in the Yankees farm system, according to Baseball America, will make his debut tomorrow for Trenton at home against Reading.
