Phillies manager Charlie Manuel added insult to the Mets’ injury situation today by naming Philadelphia right fielder Jayson Werth to the NL All-Star team to take the place of Carlos Beltran, who is out indefinitely with a bone bruise in his knee. Werth, who will be making his first All-Star appearance, is hitting just .268 but has 20 home runs and 54 RBIs.
