The White Sox must really want Manny Machado.

Chicago agreed to a deal with free-agent outfielder and Machado friend Jon Jay, according to USA Today. The White Sox acquired Machado’s brother-in-law Yonder Alonso in a deal with the Indians in December. The three train together in Miami during the offseason. The White Sox, Yankees and Phillies have all been linked to Machado.

Jay, 33, played in a 143 games combined with the Royals and Diamondbacks last season, batting .268 with 19 doubles, three homers and 40 RBIs. He had an OPS of .678.
