As the Mets fall out of the pennant race, Carlos Delgado may end up in one.
Delgado, who has been rehabbing from a hip injury, has received interest from the AL Central-leading White Sox, FOXSports.com reports. The former Mets first baseman has not played since May 10 of last season.
The Red Sox are another possible fit, but are waiting to see how long they will be without Kevin Youkilis, who they just put on the disabled list with a torn muscle in his thumb. The Rockies are also considering the 38-year-old.
Delgado wants to play for a team in a pennant race and one that would give him regular time once he made it to the big leagues. .
