Red Sox reliever Ryan Brasier tired of watching Gary Sanchez step out of the batters’ box after three straight pitches in the fifth inning and told the Yankees catcher to get back in the box.
“Heat of the moment thing,’’ Brasier said. “He stepped out three pitches in a row after an 0-2 count and I felt like it was time to throw the pitch. He kept stepping out and I was ready to go. That’s all it was.”
Sanchez, who homered twice in the 6-2 Yankees victory struck out on a 97-mph fastball to end the fifth.
