TBS and FOX executives have to be giddy with the Yankees back in the playoffs.

With Game 1 of the Yankees-Twins series leading the way, TBS had the most-watched day one of the postseason since 2005. Wednesday’s triple-header on the cable channel averaged 4,933,000 total viewers throughout the day.

The Yankees-Twins did a 4.3 rating across the country and did a 13.4 in New York with a 6 p.m. start. The Phillies-Rockies did a 2.0 rating and the Dodgers-Cardinals did a 3.3.

The Yankees missed the playoffs last season for the first time in 13 years.
