National League manager Charlie Manuel from the Phillies announced today that David Wright will bat sixth in the lineup in Tuesday night’s All-Star Game in St. Louis.

Wright, making his fourth consecutive All-Star appearance, is starting the game at third base after being voted in by the fans. He is a career .333 hitter (3-for-9) with a homer and an RBI in the Midsummer Classic.

Giants right-hander Tim Lincecum was chosen by Manuel as the NL’s starting pitcher, with Johan Santana and Frankie Rodriguez from the Mets among those also available to throw.
