David Wright was diagnosed with a concussion from his beaning today by the Giants’ Matt Cain and will remain at the Hospital for Special Surgery overnight for observation.

On a positive note, the Mets said that the CT scan was negative. Wright left the field under his own power and also was able to get into the ambulance unassisted for the drive to Manhattan.
