Today the Yankees called up Jason Giambi and Joba Chamberlin while sending Brian Bruney and Miguel Cairo to AAA. Giambi had hit just .227 in nine minor league rehab games, but looks to get playing time at First Base and DH. Giambi is in the 5th year of a seven year, $120 million contract. He is guaranteed 21.5 million this year, $21 million in 2008 and the Yankees have a $22 million club option with a $5 million buyout in 2010.
