The one mild surprise on the Yankees’ ALDS roster was Joe Girardi choosing Dustin Moseley over Javier Vazquez to be one of his long relievers. The Yankees acquired Vazquez in a trade with the Braves in the offseason and the righty made $11.5 million this year, but finished 10-10 with a 5.32 ERA.

“I want to be with the team. I want to feel like part of the team. I’m going to throw a couple of bullpens to be ready. You never know,’’ Vazquez said. “It’s disappointing obviously but I can’t say I’m surprised because I knew I was in the bubble. It’s still disappointing because you want to be out there. It’s nobody’s fault. It’s my fault.”
