Major League Baseball didn’t find the fight as entertaining as Yankees and Red Sox fans.

Discipline was meted out a day after the Fenway Park brawl, with Yankees first baseman Tyler Austin getting a five-game ban and undisclosed fine for charging the mound and fighting. Boston’s Joe Kelly, who threw at Austin, was hit with a six-game suspension and undisclosed fine. Both will appeal the bans.

Also disciplined: Boston manager Alex Cora and Yankees third-base coach Phil Nevin were fined, as were CC Sabathia, Xander Bogaerts, Marco Hernandez and Dustin Pedroia for entering the field while on the DL.
