TAMPA — Francisco Cervelli said he is not “running away” from his ties to the anti-aging clinic that is being investigated by Major League Baseball for providing performance enhancing drugs to players.

“I’ll talk to you guys when camp starts,” the catcher said outside team’s minor league complex Thursday.

Cervelli admitted to having a connection to Biogenesis after his name appeared in records obtained by Yahoo Sports, saying on Twitter Tuesday that his only association with the clinic came after a foot injury in 2011 and he was certain he didn’t use any banned substances.

“That’s all I’ve got to say right now,” Cervelli said of his previous statement. “I’m not running away from you guys.”

Cervelli will be competing for the starting catching spot with Austin Romine and Chris Stewart.
