Cody Bellinger returned to the lineup Wednesday, going 0-for-4 with a walk and three strikeouts after missing Tuesday’s game with food poisoning from a bad batch of chicken wings.

Bellinger was just trying to enjoy watching the NCAA men’s basketball title game Monday night in his hotel room when he ordered the wings via room service.

“They were good coming in,” Bellinger said.

Not so much on the way out.

“I woke up at 4 a.m., sweating, and just started throwing up for a few hours,” Bellinger said. “It was a tough morning. … I was down bad.”

Bellinger said he “slept a ton” Tuesday night and got plenty of hydration so he could play in Wednesday’s series finale.

“I can say I will not eat wings for five years,” Bellinger added. “I swear. Because the thought of it right now makes me sick.”
