The Yankees have discussed Jazz Chisholm Jr., the Marlins’ talented outfielder-turned-infielder. The extent of the interest is unknown, but Chisholm likely would play mostly infield, a Yankees need.
The Mariners are another possible landing spot for Chisholm.

The Mariners could also emerge as an option for Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. APLuis Rengifo was suggested here as a Yankees fix, and though he subsequently went on the IL, he could return in a week.
The phone was “ringing off the hook” for the versatile Rengifo.
