TAMPA — David Robertson declared himself ready to bounce of the disabled list when he is eligible Tuesday in Boston after throwing an inning Saturday in an extended spring training activity at George M. Steinbrenner Field.
“I am ready to pitch. Spring training is over,” the Yankees closer said after a 16- pitch effort. “ I will get ready for Tuesday at Fenway.”
Robertson has been on the DL since April 6 because of a strained groin.
