The Long Gray Line has received a special “thank you” from the Bronx Bombers.
The New York Yankees’ 2009 World Series trophy was brought to the U.S. Military Academy Tuesday to thank the cadets for more than a decade of providing color guards and performers for pregame ceremonies at Yankee Stadium.
The trophy was introduced to cadets during lunch in the West Point mess hall. Cadets, officers and mess hall staff then took turns being photographed next to the golden trophy, which was fresh off a six-day tour of Asia.
