Gary Sanchez’s extended slump may have played a part in the Rays’ Wilson Ramos passing Sanchez in the AL All-Star voting.

Sanchez, who was on top of the catcher’s race on June 12 when the first results were released, was second on Tuesday. Ramos led with 678,159 votes compared to Sanchez’s 618,899.

From May 22 through Monday Sanchez hit .104 (7-for-67) with a homer, six RBIs and a .400 OPS.

With Sanchez falling in the race, the Yankees have one player in position to start: Aaron Judge. Judge’s 1,061,370 votes place him in third place, behind Mookie Betts of the Red Sox (1,568,417) and the Angels’ Mike Trout (1,323,292).

Voting for the All-Star team is open online until July 5 at 11:59 p.m.
