Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez said he’s still feeling the effects of COVID-19 after his second game back in Wednesday’s 5-2 win over the Red Sox.

“I’m still recuperating right now,’’ Sanchez said through an interpreter. “I don’t feel how I felt before I went on the IL. It takes time to get back to your normal self. I’m getting there slowly.”

Sanchez went hitless in his return Tuesday, but had a pair of hits Wednesday — including a double into the gap in right-center in the eighth. He came around to score later in the inning.

It was the Yankees’ only extra-base hit of the night.

He was also behind the plate in the first game of Tuesday’s doubleheader and again Wednesday night, guiding Andrew Heaney through his best start as a Yankee.
