Gleyber Torres left the Yankees’ 8-4 win over the Blue Jays on Thursday in the fourth inning with low-back stiffness, but manager Aaron Boone said he didn’t believe it was serious.
Torres will be further evaluated in The Bronx on Friday.
Boone said he thought Torres “tweaked” his back after making a pair of nice defensive plays at shortstop.
“Gleyber is doing really well,’’ Boone said. “It doesn’t seem too serious.”

Rougned Odor pinch hit for Torres in the top of the fourth inning. Odor then entered the game at second base and Tyler Wade, who had been at second, moved over to shortstop.
Earlier this year, Torres missed a week after testing positive for COVID-19.
