The last time Ichiro Suzuki played left field, the Yankees were in the ballpark. But that was more than a decade ago and the Bombers were the opposing team.

When Suzuki heads into left field Wednesday against the Orioles at Yankee Stadium it’ll be the first time since the 2001 American League Championship Series that he has been in the position. In right field, Suzuki’s usual position in Seattle, will be Andruw Jones.

Casey McGehee, just acquired in a trade with the Pirates, will also make his Yankees debut Wednesday playing first base and batting seventh. Nick Swisher is the designated hitter.
